Addicted To Retail (ATR) presents: Stella McCartney's sustainable flagship on Old Bond Street, London.
From the air that shoppers breathe in the shop, to the materials used are, apparently, responsibly sourced and with an emphasis on things organic.
This is a four-storey store and as such, is a big presence on London’s luxury Old Bond Street. It is also a store with a sense of fun with details such as the air that is filtered being ‘Stell-air’ and one of the lifts has been dubbed a ‘Stelevator’.
Rather more to the point is the fact that in flaunting its sustainable credentials, this one goes back to the future – this kind of thing was being done by large footprint retailers, particularly supermarkets, perhaps with less effect, more than a decade ago, prior to it becoming an everyday fact for many retailers.
