Addicted To Retail (ATR) presents - SSENSE Flagship in Montreal.
Global fashion platform SSENSE has just unveiled the official images of its brand new flagship, SSENSE MONTRÉAL. Located at 418 rue Saint Sulpice, the concept store, designed by renowned architecture firm David Chipperfield Architects, serves as a physical rendering of the company’s ethos and homages the culture of its Quebecois home city.
Nestled in the historic district of Old Montreal, the space takes host inside a massive 19th century, five-floor building that comprises over 13,000 square-feet and features an in-situ Brutalist concrete structure which masks the original framework. A café and book store occupy the store’s top floor, while two floors of spacious fitting rooms invite customers to appointment-only styling sessions that are arranged either online or through the SSENSE MONTRÉAL stylist app, giving clients access to over 20,000 products available on the company’s e-commerce site within a 24-hour time period. A complex grid system embedded throughout the space also facilitates flexible floor layouts for the store’s impending rotation of site-specific projects.
